Two faces of the same soul: this is Barbaresco Teorema. It is obtained from the blending of the grapes of two different Nebbiolo vineyards located in Treiso and in San Rocco Seno d'Elvio (hamlet of Alba), and it is the result of the meeting between tradition and modernity. This wine is aged partly in barrique barrels (10-16 months) and partly in large 20-HL oak barrels (12-18 months). The final result is an original wine, with high quality and great aging potential.
Ruby red colour with very intensive garnet red reflections. Fine, elegant perfume with notes of red fruits and withered flowers, such as violet and rose. You can feel some fresh notes of eucalyptus and mint. The aging in different woods results in a full-bodied and velvety wine, enhanced by sweet tannins which reveal a spicy finish.
Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Soils: In Treiso, on the Ausario hill (382m a.s.l.) the soil is clayish, with limestone and marls that are grey-white on the srugace and bluish in the deeper layers. In San Rocco Seno d'Elvio, 290m a.s.l.) the soil is clayish with limestone and younger, white-grey marls.
Pairings: Very good with red meats and ripe cheese. Aged, it is perfect as meditation wine.
